Stranger Things Lights This post will review how I created a web-controlled addressable Christmas lights to spell out messages like seen in "Stranger Things". This project controls a string of addressable LEDs in a Christmas-light design with a NodeMCU over wifi, using MQTT controls from Home Assistant. Dr. Wes's Blog One of the cardiologist I work with has created a great set of websites. His main blog has general comments on the medical profession in general and electrophysiology/cardiology specifically. He also takes questions on cardiology issues like sudden death and implantable defibrillators (ICDs), as well as has a general forum for Q&A. He also has a hilarious site with Joke T-Shirts that put a lighthearted spin on various diseases (with proceeds going to various charities). I like the "Death, been there done that" shirt. Northwestern Cardiac Excellence

Northwestern Hospital has received a top ranking in the nation for its rapid treatment of heart attack patients. The current recommendations are a door-to-balloon time (time from entry to emergency room to opening of artery in cath lab) of less than 120 min. In 2005, 93% of our MI patients met this guidline (compared to 30% at University of Chicago). I have to take pride in this and my small roll in obtaining these good results.
