Well, its time for new brake pads, especially before the Road America torture test. My Ferrodo 2500s are shot up front. I've decided to try the EBC Yellow Stuff pads. Much cheaper than carbotech, so worth a shot. Especially if I go through pads in 5 track days.
These yellow stuff pads seem to have the highest heat tolerance and frictional coefficient of any pad I could find that is also safe for the street. I'm not yet willing to commit to the extra 1 hr pre and 1 hr post-track time to change out track-specific pads. Hopefully they don't score the rotors. I don't care about dusting or noise really.
