In this study researchers found differing levels of particle emissions from different brands of laser printer. Theoretically, the higher the particle count the more the deleterious effects from breathing the air nearby. I would definitely recommend consulting TABLE 1 (scroll down to the very bottom) and pick a non-emitter printer.
